Our Research Method and Islamic Sources
Madarej builds its books from sources. Our verification process checks the text, its interpretation and the inference drawn from it. Each edition needs its own review record; adopting this policy does not establish completion of every check in an earlier edition.
Our Islamic references
Our primary references are the Quran and established Prophetic Sunnah, with attention to the understanding of the early Muslim generations and qualified scholarship. We consult appropriate sources in commentary, hadith, biography and jurisprudence, identify whose view is cited and preserve its context. An editor’s interpretation is identified as such.
Quran, hadith and transmitted reports
We check Quranic wording and chapter and verse references, and connect commentary to the passage it explains. For hadith, we check the specific wording, source and assessments by qualified scholars. Prophetic hadith, Companion reports and scholarly opinions remain distinct. Any necessary discussion of a weak report states its status.
History and contemporary research
We trace historical accounts, compare sources where necessary and distinguish reports from analysis. We do not invent dialogue or undocumented private thoughts. Contemporary claims are checked against original studies or official documentation where possible, with dates for changing information. Findings remain distinct from our inference. References, statistics and page numbers are never invented.
Review, translation and audio
Publication calls for appropriate subject review, language editing and checks of presentation and links. Reviewers are named only when they have actually reviewed the work. Automated checking is not specialist approval. Unresolved issues are recorded. Translation follows approval of the Arabic text. Summaries require their own approval; Arabic narration scripts are fully vocalized and checked before recording.
