A three-block tower: blue below yellow below red; Sami and Dad sit beside it.

One blue block.
Yellow on top.
Then red.
A little tower!

Sami pauses his reaching hand while Dad calmly encourages gentleness.

I reached out fast.
“Gently…” said Dad.
I stopped.

Dad touches the red top block with one finger and the tower stays steady.

Dad touched the top block
with one finger.
The tower stayed up.

Sami touches the red block with his fingertip and it tilts slightly without falling.

My turn.
I touched it with my finger.
A little wobble…
I waited.

The tower is steady and Dad offers Sami a green block.

It stayed up!
I laughed.
“One more block!”
Dad brought the green one closer.

Sami uses both hands to place green on red, making a four-block tower.

I held it with both hands.
On top of red…
gently.
A taller tower!
