The Block Went Home — An Illustrated Read-Aloud Story
A picture story to read together, within the birth-to-two stage. The full text is aimed around 18–24 months.

Three big blocks lay on the rug:
a red one by the chair,
a blue one beside the book,
and a yellow one near the box.

“Playtime is finished,” said Dad.
He picked up the red block
and put it in the box.

“The block went home.”
I pushed the blue one towards him.

Dad put the blue block in the box.
“The block went home.”

Then I picked up the yellow block
with both hands.
Into the box!

Three blocks at home.
The rug was ready for tomorrow.
