The Path from Love to Action — An Illustrated Read-Aloud Story
A picture story to read together, for ages three to five.

Maryam was building a little city from coloured paper.
She made a red house and a green tree,
then began a blue bridge.
One piece was still missing from the middle.

Mum passed by with a basket of clean towels.
“Will you help me put these small towels on the shelf?”
she asked. She set the basket beside the low shelf.

“I love helping, but I want to finish my bridge,” said Maryam.
She looked at the bridge, then at the basket.
She kept the bridge piece safe and closed the glue.

“I’ll put these three away first,” she said.
Maryam carried a white towel, then a pink one,
then a yellow one. She placed them on the shelf
and straightened their edges.

One corner of the yellow towel slipped down.
Maryam lifted it, and the towels became a tidy little pile.
“Your love of helping has reached your hands,” said Mum.

Maryam returned to her paper city. The bridge was waiting.
She added the final piece, and the blue bridge reached the red house.
The three towels stayed neatly on the shelf.
This is an original fictional story, not an account of a historical event.
